Postfin (PTY) LTD (“the Company”) is committed to promoting transparency and accountability by providing the public with access to information in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA). This manual provides guidance on how to request access to information held by the Company in line with PAIA and POPIA.

2. Purpose of this Manual

  • Provide information on how a person can request access to records held by the Company
  • Promote the right to access information, ensuring that the public is aware of their rights
  • Describe the types of records the Company holds and how to request them

5. Processing of Personal Information

  • Customers and prospective customers: Name, contact details, transaction history, payment info, marketing preferences.
  • Business partners or suppliers: Transaction histories, payment records, billing information, contracts and agreements.

6. Recipients of Personal Information

  • Identity numbers and names may be provided to SAPS for criminal checks
  • Qualifications may be shared with SAQA for verification
  • Credit and payment history may be disclosed to Credit Bureaus and payment processors
  • Customer contact information may be shared with marketing agencies and service providers

7. Procedure for Requesting Access to Records

To request access, complete the PAIA Request Form (Form 02) and submit it to the Information Officer:

  • Provide sufficient details to identify the record
  • Include proof of identity (e.g., copy of ID)
  • Explain the right you are seeking to protect
  • Specify the preferred method of access (email, photocopy, etc.)

Requests will be processed according to PAIA, and a fee may apply.
